                               1. What is the Rosary?

The word Rosary means "Crown of Roses".
The rose is the queen of flowers, and so the Rosary is the rose of all devotions and it is therefore the most important one.
It's a prayer we can all say together with Her, the Mother of God.
The rosary to me means that they are beads that we use to pray the hail Mary glory be and the our farther on funerals or if we sometimes just want to pray and we use the for our reconciliation.The Catholic rosary has 59 beads with sections of 10 beads called decades.

                      2.Where did the Rosary come from? 

The rosary came from the Romans.  the rosary is resemble of the palms in the 9th century.The rosary was given to Saint Dominic in the rose garden (That's why its called the rosary) in an apparition by the Blessed Virgin Mary in the year 1214 in the church of Prouille.

                      3.Why is the Rosary associated with Mary?

Ways to reduce our impact on Waterways

Factors such as climate change, population growth and extended drought are placing increasing pressure on our finite water resources. This has increased community interest in water conservation.

It is better to reduce water use and avoid generating wastewater in the first place, instead of trying to identify alternative water supplies and reuse options. At the household level, there are many ways to conserve water, such as installing water efficient appliances (for example dual flush toilets, front-loading washing machines, water-efficient showerheads), taking shorter showers, and planting water-efficient gardens with native species or rain gardens that don’t require as much water.

We can reuse water in our everday live.

·      3.Gold mine would be a place in the 1800’s where people dug for gold, which was used for money to buy food and things they needed.

EXPERIMENT

Today we did our experiment on land-use/Mudding the water.

1. Prepare two baking trays, one with potting soil and one with turf, as shown in the diagram below.
   
   
   1. Place each one inside a tote tray
      
   2. Prop each tray up at the same angle using props
      
   3. Discuss and predict what will happen when water is added
      
   4. Spray an equivalent amount of water onto each tray. (This represents rain)
      
   5. Wait until the water has collected in the space at the end of the tray (the same
      length of time for each tray).
      
   6. Carefully pour the water which has collected into measuring beakers.
      
   7. Observe immediately after collection and again after twenty minutes. What
      differences do you observe?
      

   Variation:
   

   •   Change the rate at which you add the water (the ‘flow’) e.g. pour the water on, rather than spraying it.
     
   •   Add ‘pollutants’ (powdered milk) to the soil and forested landscapes. Repeat the experiment. (You may need to add to the table below).
     
   •   Compare by observation the amount of pollutants.
     
     
     It turned out good!
     as we started the process was going as expected all the excess water came out from the sand a lot but the turf not as much turf/1/3 of a cup sand /1/2 of a cup.

The way I learnt yesterday and blogging all my work I thought was good because we could see everyones else's  work in the grade and we can learn off there work and also improve on our work. And also doing that I can see the competition from the other classes and improve on my work.
